Mineral Testing & Process Design

Mineral Technologies undertakes professional sample and pilot test work across a wide range of minerals including: mineral sands, coal, iron ore, chrome, tin, silica sands and industrial minerals.

Mineral-Testing-Process-Design-1Our metallurgists are experienced in the complete range of analytical, bench, pilot and industrial-scale testing using wet and dry processing techniques. We assist our customers to identify mineral characteristics and processing options. Our laboratory is a certified quarantine station with capacity to work with samples of any size from any location worldwide. 

Our core capabilities include: mineral characterisation and separation testwork; bench and pilot scale testing; density fractionation by heavy liquid separation and pycnometry; metallurgical data evaluation; production of bulk mineral concentrates; and process flowsheet design.”

Our laboratory is highly regarded for providing accurate and reliable testwork results from which to base cost-effective process flowsheet designs for new and existing mineral processing circuits.

Mineral-Testing-Process-Design-2Supporting our testing process is a suite of modelling software exclusively developed by Mineral Technologies. One of the significant advantages of our modelling software is its ability to predict the effect of stage recirculating streams which cannot be fully tested in a laboratory environment. This capability provides additional confidence in predicting mineral processing outcomes.

Our test work and extensive industry knowledge enables us to provide our customers with fully detailed process solutions. Our laboratory and process design services can be commissioned as part of a fully integrated mineral separation solution or as a standalone service.
